Liberian Mission

Welcome to the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Liberia to the United Nations and other International organizations near Geneva Switzerland.
The Liberian Mission to the United Nations of Geneva is responsible for carrying out the nation’s participation in the institution.
Liberia is one of the four African countries to be present at the founding of the United Nations in San Francisco (1945).

The Permanent Mission of Liberia to the United Nations serves a pivotal role representing Liberia’s forging policy and developmental needs. The Mission’s staff covers: political, economic, humanitarian, developmental, and health thematic in line with Liberia’s 2030 agenda.
After nearly 15 years in Liberia, the UN peacekeeping mission (UNMIL) ended in 2018 and has stewarded Liberia, in two decades of peace stability and political transition.
The Mission’s role is to work in alignment with sovereign national priorities and the core  principles of the United Nations.
